What you'll do

As a Stress Testing Analyst, you’ll be producing credit risk scenario projections for the franchise using the approved models, methodology and processes, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and adherence to controls in line with given regulatory time scales. We’ll also look to you to provide comprehensive supporting analysis and MI to explain scenario projections in the context of the given scenario, other inputs, models, methodology and assumptions.

Other key aspects of your role will involve:

  • Supporting the engagement with stakeholders and expects from the franchise, Risk, Audit, and other functions to provide explanations, business insights and analysis in a timely manner
  • Developing the quantitative methodologies needed to project impairments and credit risk weighted assets, implementing the approved models or analytics solutions needed
  • Developing adjustments to modelled outputs where necessary to address model weaknesses and limitations
  • Preparing detailed, high quality presentation materials for review and challenge purposes
  • Producing ad hoc insights or analysis, as required by the business or regulators, to help in the interpretation and usage of stress testing results and scenario projections

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with knowledge of credit or financial risk management and measurement, coupled with a degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or Economics.

You’ll also need:

  • Good technical and communication skills
  • Experience in data handling and analysis, including programming languages such as Python and SQL, and ideally PySpark and Tableau
  • Good Excel skills
  • The ability to work effectively to deadlines with an organised approach
  • Excellent attention to detail
