Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Manager to join our centre of excellence for managing and governing suppliers. Within Supplier Management, we support our business teams by ensuring governance, due diligence, sustainability and risk management are given full consideration throughout the lifecycle of contracts. This helps to ensure customer facing services operate effectively to support a great customer journey. Working as part of a phenomenal team, you'll be responsible for managing suppliers and ensuring governance, performance and contract management is delivered.What you'll be doing:

  • Build, develop and lead supplier relationships for all contracts, ensuring delivery and governance of key customer requirements, supporting the embedding of change and sustainable business practices and reporting.
  • Using a variety of different performance data sources and information metrics collaborate and work with all business partners and share contractual and performance information and analysis across contracts to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Lead, supervise and protect contractual rights in order to deliver prescribed outcomes and effectively supervise service delivery.
  • Analyse specified problems and issues to find the best technical and/or professional solutions. Implement a culture of continuous improvement, appropriate to the nature of the goods and services being provided. Ensure investigation of performance or quality problems to ensure root cause analysis and the development of corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance to Group policies, maintain an available auditable trail, and be responsible for developing and maintaining exit plans and ensuring appropriate business continuity arrangements are in place and tested periodically.
  • Understand, document and mitigate supplier related risks using risk management systems to ensure the organisation is not exposed to undue risks.
  • Act as a source of professional expertise and knowledge with own suppliers, providing professional advice to key partners and colleagues whilst managing relationships with important internal collaborators and act as their business partner.
  • Grow own capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities and develop the capabilities of others by working within existing development framework; provides specialised training or mentor in area of expertise to others throughout the organisation as the need arises.

    Sourcing and Supplier Management experience ideally in a large Corporate organisation
  • Demonstrable evidence of risk mitigation and control frameworks in the financial services sector
  • Detailed knowledge of governance and compliance standards with particular emphasis on Sourcing and Supply Chain Management
  • Key partner and relationship management experience up to and including Executive Management levels and across organisations
  • Sophisticated commercial acumen with clear evidence of driving and negotiating commercial outcomes, contracts and value propositions, performance management, service delivery, continuous improvement and innovation.
