Full Job Description
Anderson Knight is currently looking for a Supplier Manager to join one of our clients based in Glasgow on a full-time permanent basis.
The Supplier Manager is responsible for managing and optimising relationships with key suppliers, ensuring that products and services meet the company’s quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness goals. This role includes evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, addressing performance issues, and developing supplier strategies to support the organisation’s overall objectives.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment with business objectives.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for all supplier-related matters and resolve any issues that may arise.
· Implement and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for suppliers to assess quality, delivery, cost, and service standards.
· Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
· Work with suppliers to ensure compliance with the organisation’s policies, standards, and requirements.
· Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers to ensure favorable terms.
· Manage and monitor contract renewal timelines and ensure that contracts remain in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
· Ensure clear documentation of agreements, pricing, terms, and conditions.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and initiatives with suppliers without compromising quality and service levels.
· Collaborate with internal departments to identify and implement supplier strategies that drive efficiencies and support business growth.
· Assess supplier risks, including financial stability, regulatory compliance, and operational capability.
· Develop contingency plans to address potential supplier disruptions and minimise risk to the business.
· Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
· Support sourcing initiatives by conducting supplier evaluations, cost analyses, and due diligence.
· Assist in the onboarding process for new suppliers to ensure they meet the company’s requirements and standards.
