Full Job Description

Anderson Knight is currently looking for a Supply Chain Specialist for one of our clients based in Renfrewshire.


As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimising our supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services, and collaborating with vendors, logistics partners, and internal teams to meet organisational objectives. Your goal will be to improve our processes, reduce costs, and enhance the overall efficiency of our supply chain.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts that benefit the company.
  • Oversee the end-to-end order management process, including placing orders, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Analyse supply chain data, such as lead times, demand forecasts, and inventory levels, to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth logistics operations, both domestically and internationally.
  • Implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes and improve overall efficiency, including cost reduction and risk management.
  • Ensure that all procurement and logistics activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports on key performance metrics, such as inventory turnover, supplier performance, and logistics costs, to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
