What is the role?

Under the direction of the Team Leader (Hostels and Supported Accommodation), provide a housing support service to residents within Viewfield Gate, Secession House, Elba Gardens and other homeless temporary accommodation.

The Grade of this post is Grade 1 / Level 5, the hourly rate is £14.43. This post attracts a 10% non core allowance.

Viewfield Gate operates day shift and night shift pattern - shifts are 12 hours with 1.5 hours unpaid break. Elba Gardens & Secession House operate day shift and back shift pattern - 9 hours shifts with 1 hour unpaid break.

It should be noted that successful candidates will be placed on a bank list and contacted to work dependent on service requirements.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with protected adults and children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made. Successful candidates must also commence their registration with the SSSC within 3 months of employment so that registration is in place within the required six months.
