Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.  

The shift pattern is 05:00-09:00 Monday to Friday

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours

We are recruiting Facilities Support Service Assistants for the New Parkhead Health Centre North East Hub, Glasgow, which is one of the largest health centres in Glasgow.  As a Facilities Support Service Assistant you will be working in clinical and non-clinical areas, you would have a very important and critical role in making sure that all areas are clean and safe, to enable staff to care for patients. You are expected to carry out routine cleaning which needs to be done on a daily or weekly basis, as well as emergencies such as spills. As part of the role you are likely to have a lot of contact with patients so good communication skills are essential. There will be other general facilities duties including waste management and portering duties.

Requirements/Skills

  • You must have a positive, can do attitude and be able to work as part of a very busy team.
  • You must have strong organisational skills and a strong work ethic
  • The ability to fully understand that all tasks are essential and need to be carried out in a safe manner to a very high standard.
