Full Job Description

Responsible for ensuring that all return cargo returned to Dispersals is decanted and dispatched safely in a timely manner, with all applicable documentation to external vendor's and system updated to reflect. Duties include:

  • Decant all CCU's and Dispatch to vendor ensuring all items are safe for road transportation, have applicable documentation and are allocated within the system.
  • Verify that all returned items are as manifested with no discrepancies.
  • Take photographs of returning units and cargo where mixed items are apparent.
  • Accurately record all discrepancies and raise non-conformances and raise SID as applicable
  • Liaise with Transport Controllers and Drivers to ensure safe and timely Dispatch of HCR's, Priority and General items to vendors.
  • Confirm dangerous goods documentation is correct and labelling conforms with ADR requirements where applicable
  • Attend and Participate in Pre-Job briefings and Toolbox talks.
  • Attend and actively contribute to monthly safety meetings
  • Ensure knowledge and understanding of procedures, work aids and risk assessments pertaining to the role, suggest improvements or updates as applicable.
  • Any other Ad-hoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency matrix and certification held.
  • Ensure worksite is maintained in clean and tidy condition, both externally and internally.

  • Desirable Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Banksman Slinger Certificate
  • Previous operational/logistics experience
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
