The Milton Street service is based in the Hilltown area of Dundee. Milton Street is a service who supports individuals predominantly with complex learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. The individuals will need support to keep their home and themselves safe and secure, while building a positive and fulfilling life. The Role Our Supported People have varying degrees of support needs including

• Personal care which may be intimate includes toileting, bathing and showering and dressing.
• Medication support such as administering medication, topical application of creams etc.
• Communication using a variety of tools
• Emotional, behavioural and personal safety support
• Accessing local amenities and social activities
• Daily living skills [cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping etc.]
  
  Be a good communicator both written and verbal
• Be organised with good timekeeping
• Be able to demonstrate transferrable skills relating to care.
• Undertake a key working role that includes admin tasks and IT skills.
• Work as a part of a team and be required to carry out sleepover and waking night shifts.
• Hold an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or undertake study to achieve this.
• Be required to obtain registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post.
