Full Job Description

We are excited to announce we're recruiting for our supported living housing service Beattie Close in Carrick Street, Ayr. We are looking for energetic, creative, caring and compassionate people to join the team.

Beattie Close is a brand-new mainstream housing complex based within Ayr town centre across from The Gaiety Theatre. As part of a core and cluster support model, the support team provides 24-hour supported living service to individuals with additional support needs to live in their own tenancy and experience choice, control and freedom in their daily lives and to be recognised and valued contributors within their local community.

We work together to ensure that the people we support are at the centre of all our efforts and their choices and views are respected. The service works in partnership with the individuals we support, parents and families, and health and social work partners and neighbours to promote the most secure and nurturing environment possible. Our focus is on providing great supports that enable positive outcomes and opportunities for each person, now and in their future.

Working from a designated hub, daily supports focus on meeting all the health and social care needs of every person, reflecting their lifestyle aspirations. Individual packages of support can range from one hour to 24 hours per day.

This is a great opportunity to be involved in our newest initiative, helping the Beattie Close tenants continue their journey in their brand-new homes and building great community lives.

We have a number of posts available with different shift patterns, but most roles require some weekend and evening work. Some roles may require sleepovers and waking nights. We carefully match all team members to particular individuals we support depending on their skills, experience, knowledge, availability and interests.,

  • Have an opportunity to gain a relevant SVQ qualification in Health and Social Care.

  • Access to 24-hour on call management support when you need it.

  • Work various shift patterns with at least one weekend off in every three.

  • Receive pay for your travel time and travel expenses if travelling between supports.

  • Become involved in an inclusive & vibrant 'Tenants Aloud' group, which gives the people we support the opportunity to meet regularly and have a say in how our services are delivered. Tenant's Aloud also offers an annual calendar of social events, parties, holidays, day trips; promoting friendships and relationships to be developed and maintained though shared interest and experiences.
