Full Job Description

As Sustainability Consultant, you will play a key role in the review and update of documents referencing sustainability matters from across the business, helping to streamline processes, as well as supporting other key external reporting. You will be required to work independently and be adaptable to change tasks in a fast-paced environment, bringing industry knowledge and research skills to tasks at hand. This role reports into the Senior Sustainability & Stewardship Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Sustainability & Stewardship team and contribute to the Royal London Group's climate commitments and Purpose outcome, moving fairly to a sustainable world.

About the role

  • Supports teams across the Group in incorporating climate change considerations and sustainable outcomes into business decision-making and processes.

  • Consults with the Brand & Marketing team to ensure all materials and resources are in line with our sustainability goals and regulation.

  • Supports the provision of consultancy services across our operations and investments on sustainability activity, advising on ad hoc requests as required.

  • Produces sustainability-related gap analysis, research reports, and inputs to required reporting and disclosures.

  • Identifies appropriate, effective and efficient sustainability reporting solutions through improvements in information, technical solutions, process or quality assurance.

    Strong knowledge of sustainability and climate change particularly in relation to pensions and investments.

  • Demonstrates strong written communication skills with previous experience working with market and communication teams to manage external messaging.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the Group including our Commercial, Group Finance and Asset Management colleagues.

  • Comfortable drawing on industry knowledge and producing sustainability-related gap analysis, research reports, and inputs to required reporting and disclosures.

  • Work well independently and as a team, flexible and adaptable to change.
