  • Under general supervision, coordinates the work of Operator Assistants and Service Operators at the job site during the operation of surface or down hole well logging equipment.

  • Coordinates the activities of Operator Assistants and Service Operators during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment.

  • Performs pre-job calculations as required.

  • Obtains pertinent service work information from the customer and effectively communicates appropriate information to assigned worksite staff.

  • Communicates pre-job and on-the-job progress to customer.

  • Communicates and negotiates with customer to resolve issues concerning invoicing service irregularities.

  • Recognizes possible sales opportunities for the Company's other products and services and communicates information to Service Coordinator or appropriate Company staff.

  • Trains and provides guidance to Service Operators and Operator Assistants in the proper performance of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports.

  • Trains Service Operators and Operator Assistants in the assembly, operation, and maintenance of surface and down-hole well logging equipment including electric, nuclear, sonic, other well logging tools, and pressure control equipment.

  • Completes appropriate documents, reports, and forms that affect the financial results of the business unit, (field ticket, etc.).

  • Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.

    Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school or similar education and 2 years of experience as Service Supervisor-L&P, I.

  • Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required.

  • Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.

  • Must be knowledgeable of HMS standards and guidelines for PSL personnel.

  • Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.

  • Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.

  • Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.
