Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in South Lanarkshire Justice Social Work Services for a Team Leader in the Cambuslang Locality Team. 

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Team Leader with recent experience of Justice Social Work and a wider knowledge of issues around the strategic Justice Social Work environment. 

The post holder will be expected to maintain the high standard of service already established; to further develop the potential of the teams; take a lead role in the development of Justice Services and be accountable for team performance.  

This is a varied, challenging and rewarding post involving managing qualified and para-professional social work staff; allocation and monitoring of work within teams; chairing reviews and planning meetings up to and including MAPPA 1 level; maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); liaising with the wider service and partner agencies and promoting good practice within the team and wider service. 

The successful candidate must hold a degree level qualification in Social Work or equivalent. The post requires the successful candidate to be SSSC registered. The successful applicant would be required to undertaken Non Personal Police Vetting level 2 as part of a requirement to use ViSOR and by applying for this post you agree to this vetting.
