Full Job Description

Position: Equity Research Analyst (Generalist), Fast Track Graduate Program (6-Months), As a participant in Woozle's Equity Research Analyst Fast Track Graduate Program, you will have the unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of equity research, with a focus on event-driven strategies. This comprehensive 6-month program offers rotations across multiple industries, enabling you to develop a well-rounded skill set and an in-depth understanding of the investment landscape. Whether you choose to work in our Glasgow or London office, this hybrid position allows for flexible location arrangements to suit your preferences and circumstances.

Research Assistance: Collaborate with senior analysts to conduct comprehensive equity research, focusing on channel checks.

Data Analysis: Collect, organise, and analyse financial and market data to support research projects, employing both qualitative and quantitative techniques to derive actionable insights.

Investment Analysis: Evaluate companies and industries, assess financial performance, analyse competitive landscapes, and identify investment opportunities or risks.

Report Generation: Assist in preparing detailed research reports and investment recommendations, incorporating thorough analysis, and market insights.

Stock Pitch: Opportunity to have calls with buy-side analysts and portfolio managers to provide research updates and pitch investment ideas using our proprietary research.

Industry and Market Monitoring: Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting investment decisions.

Collaboration and Rotation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to various investment strategies, sectors, and asset classes.

Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities, with proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and investment valuation techniques.

Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and equity valuation methodologies.

Research Proficiency: Demonstrated research experience, utilising both primary and secondary sources to gather relevant information and support investment decisions.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.

Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
