We continue to embark on our exciting journey of digital transformation, having recently implemented a replacement HR & Payroll System within a dynamic change environment.

To support the Programme Manager, a vacancy has arisen for a Systems & Digital Development Officer. The post holder will be required to develop and coordinate the delivery of a programme of work to administer the on-going development of our core HR and Payroll Systems and processes. With efficient performance and customer experience as the driving force, the post holder will be responsible for the development, prioritisation, implementation, and evaluation of key systems, functionality and processes in line with the council’s digital first automation agenda. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring systems security, integrity and confidentiality at all times.

Working as part of a team the post holder will be responsible for the line management support to our System Administrators who provide the day-to-day administration of our HR & Payroll systems.

The postholder will have demonstrable experience of developing and successfully introducing new software based systems and ways of working to stakeholders. Experience working on change projects involving complex systems within an HR and payroll systems environment is essential. Excellent communication skills are key to achieving successful outcomes from constructive challenging of existing practice, confidently influencing stakeholders, and developing new, innovative approaches as part of a proactive team.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place week commencing 13th January 2025
