Full Job Description

To support the ECIS Regional Tax Manager in ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations. This role is ideal for someone early in their tax career, looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic industry. The successful candidate will assist with tax filings, documentation, and compliance monitoring, with a particular focus on UK tax laws.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

  • Assist in the preparation and timely filing of corporate income tax returns and other relevant filings, by analysing and summarising transactional data from SAP

  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly UK VAT return

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations by supporting the Regional Tax Manager in gathering necessary documentation and information

  • Maintain accurate and organised records of all tax-related documents and transactions

  • Assist in the preparation of documentation required for tax audits and inquiries

  • Conduct basic research on tax issues and summarise findings for the Regional Tax Manager

  • Assisting with quarterly tax reporting processes, including tax account preparation and analysis / Balance Sheet reconciliation of tax accounts

  • Communicate effectively with Region Finance team to gather information and provide tax-related assistance

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls related to tax compliance

  • Assist in the development and documentation of tax compliance procedures and policies

    Degree qualified in an Accounting or Finance discipline

  • Experience with SAP or a similar Finance package

  • Some experience in a tax or finance role, preferably through internships or entry-level positions.

  • Basic understanding of UK tax laws and regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel (data analysis using pivot tables).

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Excellent analytical and research / problem-solving abilities.
