Tax Assistant

Three Bridges Recruitment is currently partnering with a highly regarded Accountancy and Tax Firm to recruit a Tax Assistant, based in Dunfermline.

The role of Tax Assistant will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

• Processing client information for initial draft preparation of UK and US tax returns
• Incorporating changes based on reviewer comments
• Preparing covering letters to summarise the tax position for clients
• Co-ordinating the dispatch of tax returns and preparation of fees
• Responding to client queries about their returns
• Developing professional client relationships
• Starting with basic returns and gradually tackling more complex cases and tax planning advice
• Liaising with HMRC and IRS on general client issues
• Assisting with client onboarding, including engagement paperwork and compliance
• Assisting with ad-hoc work fee preparation and issuance

You

As a Tax Assistant you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

• Enthusiasm for career development in tax, with circa 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Good IT systems skills and proficiency
• Strong client focus with excellent team working abilities
• Good organisation, attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
