Full Job Description

Based at Arbroath Academy, Glenisla Drive, Arbroath, covering the Arbroath locality.

ASN Teachers in the ASN Locality team provide support from 3-18 years across a range of needs across learning and health and wellbeing.

Although your nominal base is Arbroath Academy, you will work 21 hours per week, by arrangement, in a peripatetic manner across schools in the locality.

The locality team prioritises support for non-resourced primary settings. Interventions and support are arranged and deployed flexibly by the Principal Teacher in discussion with the Head Teacher on a time limited basis.

At Early Years level, the ASN Locality team is involved in the identification and assessment of need to ensure successful transitions into primary settings.

At Primary level, Teaching and support staff are prioritised to be allocated across the non-ASN Resourced primary schools on a need basis by agreement between the Head Teacher and the PT ASN Locality.

At Secondary level ASN Locality may support through additional targeted interventions arranged through the Continuum of Need.

Part of this package may involve, for example, access to ESP Panbride, supporting the creation of individualised curriculum packages and supporting positive post-school destinations in partnership with other agencies.

Please note interviews will be held Tuesday, 1 October 2024.

You must have the ability to become a member of the PVG Scheme., Disability Confident
