Douglas Ewart High School Cluster

Unpromoted Teacher Scale £32,217 - £48,516

 

We are seeking to recruit and enthusiastic and motivated teacher to help shape education provision in Dumfries and Galloway for 14 hours per week within the Douglas Ewart High School Cluster.

 

As part of Scottish Government’s commitment to increase the number of teachers across Scotland the authority are seeking to appoint permanent supply teachers. Our commitment to teachers is evident by the provision of high-quality professional learning for all.

 

This position is temporary up to August 2025 and may be suitable for secondment. Line management approval should be sought before applying for the position.

Applicants for teaching posts must be registered in appropriate sector with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT.

 

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

 

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
