Salary: £33,594 - £50,589 per annum
Hours: 35
Contract Duration: Temporary until 17/08/2025

Role Purpose
To teach assigned classes and carry out related activities and developments following local, national and school policies and under the direction of the headteacher.
• Teach assigned class together with associated preparation and correction
• Play a part in developing school curriculum as appropriate to the School Improvement Plan and other identified areas
• Assess, record and report on the work of pupils
• Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education.
• Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils
• Work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals
• Undertake appropriate and agreed continuing professional development.
• Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual pupil review
• Contribute to community and corporate aspects of school life
Essential
• A degree (B.Ed/PGCE/PGDE) or Diploma in Primary Teaching.
• Full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland
