Abertay University is an ambitious, pioneering and successful modern university which transforms the lives of its students, and supports the development of industry and society regionally, nationally and globally.

Abertay has a strong record of innovation in the student experience, community engagement and in promoting social mobility through education. This is underpinned by a deep commitment to research and knowledge exchange, and an ongoing programme of investment in the University’s digital and physical infrastructure.

The School of Applied Sciences delivers programmes and applied research in the areas of food and drink, the built and natural environment, forensic and biomedical sciences, mental health nursing, counselling, psychology, and sport and exercise sciences. The School seeks to appoint a Teaching Fellow within the Division of Sport and Exercise Sciences.

Reporting to the Head of Division, the role requires someone who can provide teaching of undergraduate content in physical activity, lifestyle management and well-being, as well as other areas within sport. The candidate needs to be flexible, and able to teach at all undergraduate levels, including honours, and to supervise final year projects. The role requires excellent organisational, team working and communication skills, a commitment to teaching and programme development, and the ability to work across disciplines and organisations. In addition, experience of teaching students entering degrees with advanced standing from college would be advantageous.
