West Highland Medical Group is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT/ Practice Team Lead to join the team based in Acharacle and Lochaline. The postholder will provide IT support and general support to the wider Team. Experience of working with computers, including typing and the use of Microsoft Office products is essential and GP Clinical systems highly desirable.  Training on General Practice systems would be available to enhance current skill set as required.  There is a need for accuracy in data entry.  The successful applicant will have excellent organisation and communication skills, with an attention to detail and be able to work and adapt under pressure.  Flexibility is essential, as you will be required to provide cover for other staff holidays/leave, which may include an element of lone working.  The postholder will be based in Acharacle but there is an expectation to work from the Lochaline site on regular basis. A driving licence is essential.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
