An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Nurse who wishes to lead the Perth City Older Peoples Community Mental Health Team.

As the successful applicant you will have highly specialist clinical skills and extensive experience of working with people with a wide range of mental health problems and will be an excellent example to your colleagues in the delivery of holistic person centred care.  Comprehensive knowledge of best practice/clinical guidelines/standards within mental health nursing and Community Mental Health Teams is essential as evidenced in your Continuing Professional Development portfolio.

As Team Lead, you will have operational management responsibility for the day to day working of the CMHT. Discipline leads directly manage and deploy their respective staff within the CMHT and as such you will be required to exhibit strong leadership, management and co-production skills, will influence and develop practice and will take forward new initiatives within a busy integrated Team.

A core component of the Team Lead role is the direct professional leadership and operational management of the Community Mental Health Nursing Team. As such, you will also be responsible for the supervision, education and development of more junior nursing staff and students and will lead in a range of governance activities on behalf of the CMHN Team and the CMHT.

This post provides the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills including multi-disciplinary working, service development, quality improvement and leadership experience.
