This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality technical drawings and design solutions for commercial and industrial projects across Scotland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technicians and ensuring that all drawings and technical documents meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. They will oversee the coordination between the drawing office, site teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring that designs are fully aligned with project requirements and regulatory standards. With a strong technical background in cladding, roofing, or building envelope solutions, the ideal candidate will bring expertise in detailing, materials, and construction methodologies, along with a keen eye for precision and efficiency.
This role requires a proactive leader who can mentor and develop the drawing office team, implementing best practices to enhance productivity and maintain a high level of technical excellence. The Technical Manager will be instrumental in streamlining workflows, improving processes, and ensuring seamless communication between design and production teams. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential, as this role will involve handling complex technical challenges and ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AutoCAD and other relevant design software, with a solid understanding of construction detailing and technical specifications. Experience in working with cladding and façade systems will be highly advantageous, as will familiarity with the latest industry regulations and standards. The role will require close collaboration with architects, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring that all technical aspects of projects are meticulously planned and executed.
In addition to managing the drawing office, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to the company’s overall technical strategy. The Technical Manager will play a key role in identifying innovative solutions, keeping up to date with new technologies and materials, and ensuring that the drawing office remains at the forefront of industry developments. The ability to lead and inspire a team, combined with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail, will be crucial in delivering success in this role.
This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to work with a respected and financially stable company known for delivering high-quality roofing and cladding solutions. The role provides long-term career prospects within a growing organisation that values expertise and leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced technical professional to step into a senior role, shape the future of a busy drawing office, and contribute to the success of a company that takes pride in delivering outstanding results.
For those who thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, this role offers the chance to take on a leadership position where technical knowledge and managerial expertise will be highly valued. If you are ready to take the next step in your career and make a significant impact, this role could be the perfect fit.
