Our Power, Process & Nuclear division is recruiting for a Technical Specialist  to join our growing team. This role is critical for ensuring the safe and efficient design of nuclear and defence facilities and youâll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects ranging from defence to nuclear new build both nationally and internationally as well other projects across the energy sector. Youâll work as part of the larger nuclear and defence teams based throughout the UK.Â
Key responsibilities
â¢Â   Design and Development:
Create detailed designs and technical specifications for nuclear and defence facility structures, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
â¢Â   Technical Analysis:
Perform, and lead others, in structural analysis and simulations to assess the integrity and safety of designs under various conditions.
â¢Â   Collaboration:
Work closely with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to integrate civil and structural design with other project components.
â¢Â   Documentation:
Prepare and / or review comprehensive technical documents, including design reports, calculations, and drawings.
â¢Â   Regulatory Compliance:
Develop all designs to meet the stringent regulatory requirements specific to the nuclear industry.
â¢Â   Capability and Staff Development
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of staff to develop their analysis skills in a range of relevant software. Work with our wider specialist teams to improve Mott MacDonaldâs structural analysis capabilities particularly relevant to the nuclear and energy industry.â,
