Full Job Description

This position requires a proactive customer-driven approach, demonstrating full ownership and responsibility for implementing and completing projects. You will be involved in managing, planning, high-level engineering/design, resourcing and delivering projects on time and budget. You will be required to develop and maintain close working relationships with the Tendering Team, Sales and Engineering teams to identify and implement innovative solutions to support sustainable business growth.,

  • Planning, designing, executing, monitoring and controlling all aspects of assigned projects - ensuring that they are completed on time and to budget (Clarify all assumptions, create a plan/timeline, define roles and responsibilities throughout the project, Manage the budget, minimise risks, Ensure the goals of the project are met, Monitor and report progress to customer and internal stakeholders)
  • Attend meetings (on-site if required) with the customer, contractor, subcontractor, consultant and suppliers as appropriate
  • Attend meetings with relevant parties to gain approval for engineering design prior to the delivery phase
  • Identify project issues and put proactive plans in place to resolve them effectively and in a timely manner
  • Financial control of the project, including procurement, invoice approval, variation handling, final account agreement, monthly reviews
  • Operate and deliver multiple projects (typical total value approx. £3M) in line with QMS, H&S and Environmental systems
  • Support, coach and mentor the projects team throughout the project
  • Work closely with the operations manager on business development; this will include offer and marketing ideas/development and implementation

    Qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline (Project Management, Business or Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Be able to demonstrate related work experience and a strong track record in a similar role
  • Experience in delivery of Lighting/ BMS/KNX/Control systems
  • Strong Stakeholder management and demonstrable experience in managing internal and external project teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to interact with both internal and external customers
  • Positive attitude and constructive approach
  • Continuous Improvement and ensuring projects meet industry quality and company standards
  • The ability to own and follow through on commitments to completion
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a must
  • Hold a full driving license
