Full Job Description

Stirling Council, Housing Services are seeking to recruit a Contracts Officer. The position is within our Capital and Technical Team however, you will be expected to be flexible in your approach to accommodate our varying work demands. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for overseeing and managing sub-contractors as well as liaising with clients and customers. The position also requires the candidate to carry out property inspections to identifying repairs and investment work. The post also involves budgetary management along with financial and performance monitoring. You will need good communication skills, be competent in Microsoft applications with a sound knowledge of CDM regulations and health and Safety legislation. You must also be capable of working to KPI's and providing management reports. You will also participate in and deliver tool box talks and safety updates. A trades or construction background is an essential requirement. If successful you will be responsible for providing a professional service with the goal being to ensure it is delivered as efficiently and economically as possible. The successful candidate will be required to participate in our Standby/On Call rota. A driving licence is essential. The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Basic Disclosure.
