Full Job Description
ChampionX is seeking an enthusiastic Technical Specialist based in Edinburgh. The primary responsibility is to help our Technical Support team deliver excellent customer support services. This role requires a person who can investigate, identify, resolve or escalate issues received from clients in the areas of data acquisition, has experience with SQL queries and liaising with 3rd Party vendors. - Reporting to our Product Manager, you will be responsible for working directly with our clients
- Deliver excellent customer service through adhering to deadlines, communication protocols and reporting within agreed Service Levels.
- Record and report support incidents
- Perform investigations into client tickets
- Answer customers/partners related product queries through our support portal
- Update customers/partners on the status of support tickets in an effective manner
- Troubleshoot database and application issues
- Interface with development team to get issues resolved
- Assist with reporting of the Support metrics
1 year in a client facing customer support role - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be self-motivated
- A strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset
- Experience of SQL and troubleshooting data issues
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders, both internal and external
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, Demonstratable experience of SQL Server
- Exposure to Application support tools such as Jira, Confluence. ZoHo and MS Teams
- Knowledge of Cloud platforms or system administration (e.g. Powershell)
- Familiarity with AzureAD
- Spinning up new VM in a cloud environment (GCP),
- Windows server / MSSQL configurations,
- Firewall configurations, VPN tunnels, DNS
- Monitoring of hardware performance, etc.
- Interest/experience in AzureDevOps is a plus.
