Job Description
We are changing the way we collect household waste from tenements and some flats in the city. This will involve placing new, purpose-built bin-hubs at the front of properties.
Moving bins to the street will deal with safety issues experienced by our collection crews; it also allows the Council the opportunity to expand the range of recycling options available to residents in tenements and flats.
The new approach will allow bins to be emptied more frequently, reduce missed bin collections while also helping residents to keep their back courts in better condition.
It is essential that candidates have a HNC / HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent, proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, be self-motivated and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of contract compilation and administration and a current full driving licence are also essential.
It is appropriate that you have the ability to cope with pressure, be organised within operational team to ensure deadlines of met. You should be able to manage your own performance as well as your team’s goals.
Hybrid Working arrangements are available within this position.
