North Lanarkshire Council are seeking to create a casual supply staffing list for support roles within its Technical Field Services area.
Staff from the casual supply list will be called upon to provide support, in a variety of locations, to provide cover for absent staff or to participate in projects. Typically, though not exclusively, support will be in the education sector.
You will have qualification and experience in one of three technical disciplines – Science, IT or Workshop. Were technical support is required you will be located in an area related to your experience and qualification. Where non-technical or generic technical support is required, you may be located in any area requiring support.
You must possess an SVQ3, HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant subject along with extended experience of working in a field service environment (science IT or workshop), having knowledge of related Health and Safety legislation. Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work with others as part of a team or on your own initiative and work closely and responsibly with children. Possession of an HND or equivalent is desirable, as is possession of relevant qualifications in other areas i.e. sciences, IT or workshop.
These are casual roles with no fixed hours or working pattern, but applicants should be willing to work daytime Monday-Friday and be willing to attend training sessions.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Group Scheme (PVG) member prior to starting this post.
