Full Job Description

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our Scottish sites:- Glasgow, Perth or Aberdeen., As Technology Manager (Service Management) for SSEN Transmission, you'll provide leadership and accountability for the development and delivery of the Transmission IT Service Strategy which underpins Transmission's Digital Strategy and SSE's ambitions to be the leading energy company.

You'll be responsible for ensuring IT Service Management (ITSM) processes are matured in line with business requirements and that service management standards are set, guaranteeing adherence across increasingly complex IT and OT (Operational Technology) domains.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

- Developing and delivering a service management strategy which supports the growth of the Transmission business.

- Ensuring compliance with all Business Units, Corporate and Regulatory demands for IT and OT including internal SSE Group audit findings and NIS regulations.

- Defining and delivering processes around operational Risk Management and delivering on associated mitigations for IT and OT alongside SSEN Transmission colleagues.

- Developing and delivering a functional Service Catalogue.

- Defining and implementing service management standards and ensuring ongoing quality, consistency and improvement in individual, team, and departmental performance.

- Working with senior management stakeholders across the Transmission business and critical suppliers to provide strategic direction and a best-in-class service.

Extensive experience from a senior Service Management role in supporting business critical systems in a medium/large organisation.

- Understanding of Cyber, IT, OT Operations and regulation compliance would be beneficial.

- Strong leadership of teams that include permanent resources, third parties and contractors.

- Excellent organisation and communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels.

- Deep understanding of ITIL or similar IT Service Management methodology as well as an understanding of Risk Management methodology and best practise processes.

Salary: £63,000 - £94,400 (depending on skills and experience) + performance related bonus + car / car allowance + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
