NEW Temporary Assistant Opportunities in Coatbridge

  

Bield have a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Assistant to join our team in Coatbridge for a 6 month period. East Stewart Gardens provides a Retirement Housing with Meals service to tenants, aged 60 and over, who wish to retain their independence and the right person will help make this possible. You will benefit from daytime work and great work life balance as you will assist with the preparation and delivery of our flexible meals service. 

  

East Stewart Gardens offers people the chance to lead an independent active life in a small and friendly environment. The development has good public transport nearby with both bus and train services operating and also a large retail park is close by.

  

The successful candidate will undertake a range of cleaning duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development. You will also assist by preparing the dining room for mealtimes, heating prepared meals and delivering these dishes to tenants.

  

On occasion, the Assistant will be expected to clean vacant flats and/ or external pathways of the development and provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. In addition you will respond to property emergencies, taking appropriate action when the Manager is off duty and providing cover for the development office as required.

  

Hours of employment are 13 hours per week, organised as follows:

Saturday 9am to 2pm, Sunday 9am to 6pm (with a 1 hour break Sunday).

An interest in working with older people and an understanding of their needs is essential. Although relevant experience in a similar post is also desirable, it is not essential as induction and training will be provided.
