Community Clinical Nurse Specialist

Location:

Bellahouston Park, 20 Dumbreck Road, Glasgow, G41 5BW

Hours:

37.5 per week 5/7 days per week (would consider part time)

Salary:

£36,278 to £44,685 (commensurate with experience)

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is a well-established charity located within Bellahouston Park, 20 Dumbreck Road, Glasgow G41 5BW. The hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with a life-limiting, progressive illness, and support for their families and carers. 

As one of our community nursing team you will be a highly motivated and compassionate registered nurse with empathy and in-depth understanding of issues encountered by patients with palliative care needs.  This role will provide specialist palliative care support and advice for people in their own homes with a life limiting, progressive illness.  You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to putting patients and families at the heart of all you do.

If you have the ability to provide person-centred care for patients and families, have a proven track -record in acting with integrity, treating all with respect and the ability to collaborative with our multi-disciplinary team then you will fit in well. You will be a highly skilled nurse, an excellent communicator with the ability to work autonomously and the ability to demonstrate continuous professional development within the field of palliative care.

It is a desirable of the role to be a qualified non-medical prescriber (independent prescriber), or as part of your development within the role you will be required to become a non-medical prescriber (independent prescriber) and will be fully supported by the Hospice with this learning and development.

You must have a minimum of 2 years experience in palliative care and a current, clean driving licence and your own transport.
