Full Job Description

We are seeking a Lead ECG Reporting Physiologist to oversee ECG reporting services at Xyla. In this pivotal role, you will manage the remote analysis team, provide clinical support to the ECG service team, and lead the peer review and audit processes for all ECG services. Additionally, you will serve as the clinical and quality lead, ensuring that services are safe, evidence-based, and continuously improved. Collaboration with our customers and the Xyla Operations Team will be key to meeting service demands and placing patients at the forefront of our work. Alongside ECG reporting, you will manage a variety of quality and leadership responsibilities.   • Analyse and report on 12-lead ECGs and ambulatory ECGs according to company policies and national standards whilst acting as a role model for all analysing clinical staff
  • Be the service lead to all remote Physiologists, supporting with clinical and operational queries, offering direct line management responsibilities to a team of 4 staff including scheduling, 1:1's, goal setting and staff inductions
  • Run clinical audit and peer review processes, supporting a culture of continuous improvement in performance, quality and safety whilst reporting and managing incidents on the Datix system in a timely manner and being an escalation point for the team and clients on this
  • Support the Head of Clinical Operations in the development and implementation of quality management processes retrospectively with processes for ECG analysis service
  • Maintain and distribute of all key training/support documentation for analysis staff, and at times for customers relating to ECG analysis and Sentinel use

    BSc in Clinical Physiology, Healthcare Science of equivalent
  • Experience within Cardiac Healthcare Science, at band 6 or above
  • Recent expertise in using Spacelabs technology
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Understanding of clinical audit and quality improvement methodology whilst partaking in quality management processes
