Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Tissue Viability Nurse at Lister Street, University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

The Tissue Viability Team in NHS Ayrshire and Arran welcome registered nurses who has a specialist interest and experience in acute and chronic wound management to consider applying for the this post.

You require post graduate experience preferably within hospital/community settings caring for patient with complex wound needs and has an in depth knowledge and experience of pressure ulcer prevention and management.

It is essential that applicant has expanded their knowledge in the field by obtaining post graduate modules/ experience relating to Tissue Viability.

As a registered nurse working within the team you will be responsible for providing expert advice to practitioners in wound management across a range of services within NHS Ayrshire and Arran Health and Partnership services.

With relevant support you will be expected to develop, deliver and evaluate multifaceted education programmes of education for a range of health and social care staff within the organisation on a range of wound types and treatments however with a key focus on pressure ulcer prevention and management and leg ulcer assessment and management.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

  • First level registration with post registration experience.
  • Educated to degree level.
  •  Post basic qualification/portfolio of evidence in Tissue Viability and experience in wound management /tissue viability, equivalent to diploma level.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and experience of working within a team

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

UK Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
