Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Tissue Viability Nurse at Lister Street, University Hospital Crosshouse., It is essential that applicant has expanded their knowledge in the field by obtaining post graduate modules / experience relating to Tissue Viability. As a registered nurse working within the team you will be responsible for providing expert advice to practitioners in wound management across a range of services within NHS Ayrshire and Arran Health and Partnership services. With relevant support you will be expected to develop, deliver and evaluate multifaceted education programmes of education for a range of health and social care staff within the organisation on a range of wound types and treatments however with a key focus on pressure ulcer prevention and management and leg ulcer assessment and management., Some of our vacancies are for internal candidates only . You require post graduate experience preferably within hospital / community settings caring for patient with complex wound needs and has an in depth knowledge and experience of pressure ulcer prevention and management.,

  • First level registration with post registration experience.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Post basic qualification / portfolio of evidence in Tissue Viability and experience in wound management / tissue viability, equivalent to diploma level.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and experience of working within a team
