Join our UKCS - Balfour Beatty Living Places team as a Traffic Management Specialist and shape something special. What you'll be doing Your main duties will be on the highway network working alongside other operatives and teams leading with the installation of traffic management inclusive of Diversion Routes and some minor highways repairs. You will also be a part of the team delivering the Highways Maintenance including repairs, improvements and winter service activities. Wear the appropriate safety equipment provided and ensure the Cleanliness of personal protective equipment, workplace, and Vehicles/Plant. Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and any other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work and conduct themselves in a manner which prevents environmental and customer complaints. Through Coaching and mentoring from direct line manager adhere to Instructions given on Installation, Maintenance and Removal of Traffic management systems and comply with the requirements of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation. Have a flexible approach to location and shift patterns in accordance with needs of the business. To assist with coaching and mentoring of traffic management duties including all paperwork to operatives on site and to maintain a compliant and relevant site, vehicle records and return within the correct timescales. To liaise with contractor and members of public in a courteous and professional manner.   • The following qualities/experience are essential:
  • Must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in practical outdoor work.
  • NHSS12D M1/M2/M5 or NRSWA Unit 2 (Signing Lighting and Guarding) with sufficient experience with multi-phase portable traffic signals experience.
  • CPC (if a licence holder of 7.5T and above)
  • CSCS
  • The following qualities/experience are desirable:
  • NVQ 6159 Winter Maintenance
  • LGV Category C (HGV) driving license and DQC
  • SSSTS
  • NHSS12D M6
  • Previous experience in Highway Maintenance
