Traffic Supervisor

In the role of Traffic Supervisor you'll visit sites and ensure the correct set up dealing with any issues which may arise. Key responsibilities will include:

• Supervise a team of Traffic Management Operatives, assisting with work duties


• Delivering, Installing, Removing and Collection all different types of Traffic Management set ups.


• Complete and Compose Traffic Management surveys and traffic plans


• Allocate and schedule jobs, installations and Collections


• Plan future projects


• Print and manufacture AWS signs and Special Road Signs when required.


• Carry out site visits to complete site audits, month vehicle checks, eyesight check and urgent news items.


• Ensure that all maintenance and repair is carried out using correctly calibrated tools and equipment.


• Ensure that all TMO's thoroughly check all equipment before leaving the yard and returning to the yard, identifying and report any damage. Ensuring that all equipment supplied to customers is in a safe working condition.


• Contribute to maintaining a safe workplace by complying with all the statutory and Company Health and Safety regulations and by ensuring all members of the workshop team do the same.


• Conduct and maintain risk assessments in partnership with the Depot Manager and take any necessary actions to improve safety.


• Ensure that each TMO has the relevant skills and knowledge to carry out their job by identifying ongoing training needs and ensuring these needs are addressed.

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrable experience of all aspects of traffic management, signs, traffic lights and traffic management appliances.


• Experience of maintaining relevant equipment in a workshop environment


• Experience of managing a team of employees in a traffic environment.


• Experience of kit & stock control and


• Full UK manual driving licence


• Reliable and self-motivated with commitment to Health and Safety


• A flexible approach to working hours


• Driven to learn and develop your skills and knowledge
