Full Job Description
TRAINEE GOVERNANCE OFFICER (AHA Grade 3 - £ 33,887 to £37,653 increasing to AHA Grade 4 - £39,536 to £43,927 on completion of formal qualification).
Angus Housing Association is a key provider of affordable housing for rent in Dundee and Angus. We have Offices in Arbroath and Dundee from which we manage over 2,000 houses.
To assist with meeting statutory and regulatory obligations in relation to Corporate Governance, Angus Housing Association is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and skilled individual on a permanent basis within our Finance and Corporate Services Team.
The role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience in corporate and social housing governance/compliance.
The role is designed for individuals pursuing a career in corporate governance within the third/charity sectors, offering hands on experience and study support to work towards a qualification from a recognised UK governance institution.
The qualification will be to diploma, or degree level and the post holder must commit to complete the qualification within a period agreed upon. The training period is expected to last for a minimum of two years.
You should be a self-starter, possess good computing skills, be an excellent verbal and written communicator, able to work on your own initiative and with a variety of stakeholders. You should have the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders. Meeting deadlines is a key requirement of this post and you should have excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in using MS365 is essential and ideally some experience of digital governance platforms.
