Full Job Description

  • Security Systems Engineers, install, commission and maintain electronic systems in a wide range of buildings to protect individuals, homes and properties from risk and danger.

  • Systems include intrusion detection, CCTV systems and access control to monitor and control buildings, properties and sites.

  • The BEST program will combine on-the-job work experience and internal training. On-the-job training will be carried out working closely with our experienced Fire & Security engineers, many of these engineers have also been through our apprenticeship scheme or internal programs so they are the perfect mentors to guide you through the program. You will be required to ensure that you adhere to safe working practices and also be able to take instructions and act upon them in a prompt and professional manner., This will provide a foundation from which to progress on several career paths within the Company as a Security Installation Engineer.

  • During this program you will learn the skills required for installing, maintaining and repairing state-of-the-art security systems.

  • Skills include interconnection of equipment, programming, verifying performance/fault finding and testing and maintaining equipment.

  • You will be trained in the installation and testing techniques for electrical and electronic components, equipment and control systems for security systems.

  • Engineers' will carry out planned jobs to install new systems, modify and maintain existing systems as well as respond to call-outs to repair faulty systems where they will utilize their problem solving skills.

    A full driver's license.

  • An electrical qualification or relevant experience in an appropriate electrical, networking or engineering industry, minimum 2 years.

  • Had or have previous experience working in a customer facing environment and have the ability to use on sites tools and equipment.

  • Experience of working on construction sites and an understanding of key health and safety requirements of this environment.

  • Willingness to travel as this is a field-based position.
