We are recruiting a trainee lead transport manager to be based in Elgin. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well establish reputable business.

As a trainee lead transport manager, you will have previous management experience within a similar role and have the desire to progress to Lead Transport Manager within 6 months. If you do not hold your transport managers CPC, you will be placed on the course within this time period, there will also then be a review on your salary.

After the training period your responsibility will include looking after the company’s transport management and fleet compliance. This is a hands-on management role, working closely with other Managers within the business.

Work Details:-

• Monday to Friday
• 40 hours per week, flexibility required when required
• £28000 starting salary with a review after obtaining your transport managers CPC certificate.
• Onsite working in Elgin

Job details (Jobs may vary) -

• Previous management experience in transport or similar is essential
• Strong desire to learn and develop to lead transport manager within 6 months which will lead to the following responsibility's;
• Ensuring all health and safety requirements are adhered daily
• Maintain compliance with all records including, all fleet vehicle inspections, licenses, driver hours and other documents required by law.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve transport efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining high safety standards
• Ensure driver walk round checks are completed daily, vehicles are operated in a safe and legal manner, and Company standards are followed at all times
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Be a hands on leader providing guidance, training, and support to all.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Role Requirements:-

• Transport Manager CPC - Desired but not essential as you will be put thought this course in approx. 6 months.
• Previous management experience essential
• Strong knowledge within the transport industry - Desired but not essential
