Full Job Description

Role Title: Trainee Property Officer – Graduate Apprenticeship

Reporting To: Head of Property


Job Purpose:

To effectively undertake a range of duties across the Property Team, ensuring a customer focused delivery of all property services. You will assist the team to ensure best practice, quality and efficiency are at the heart of the service delivered to our customers.


You will acquire and develop knowledge whilst contributing to all aspects of the Property Team to ensure effective service delivery by carrying out inspections, raising repairs, and responding to customer enquiries and complaints.

 

Throughout the duration of the Graduate Apprenticeship you will be involved in all functions of the Property Team. This will include maintenance and improvement, reactive repairs, planned improvements, medical adaptations and void property repairs. You will also be involved in asset management, factoring and customer services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical and administrative expertise in relation to reactive, planned and cyclical maintenance.

Contribute, as directed, to the delivery of repairs and maintenance services.

Attend inspections with Property Officers to assist and gain experience.

 

Support the delivery of investment and other projects, ensuring active input to achieve project delivery and personal development outcomes.

 

Liaising with contractors to ensure delivery of projects and repairs issues.

 

Work to ensure value for money outcomes are achieved in all aspects of the role.

 

Support colleagues with administrative work to ensure accurate record-keeping, data collation and reporting.

 

Prepare clear and appropriate communications for different audiences, including customers and colleagues.

 

Participate actively in partnership working with other colleagues and departments to contribute to the achievement of service objectives.

 

Build and maintain effective working relationships with other officers, departments, and organisations.

 

Support project work to ensure that objectives are delivered within required quality, time and budget targets.

 

Contribute to the development of team plans and budget preparation.

 

Contribute to performance improvement by analysing and reviewing processes and offer new ideas for improvement.

 

Learning & Development

Proactively work to ensure completion of degree course including shadowing, attending meetings with colleagues and contractors, completing knowledge logs and any other tasks in line with degree requirements.


Attend university in line with course requirements to ensure completion of coursework and assignments.


Communicate with line manager or mentor regularly to support with the completion of assignments and academic study.


Corporate Responsibility

Work effectively and collaboratively as a Property team member ensuring that the Association’s values are lived on a day-to-day basis.


Ensure compliance with all regulatory, statutory, and legal requirements and other directives.

Maximise the use of ICT to improve efficiency, increase productivity and develop new and existing services.


Support with the production of accurate and timely performance information and data, including information required for regulatory and statutory returns and implementing actions arising from internal and external audits as directed.

 

General

Any other duties as agreed with the Head of Property.
