We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Trainee Responsible Business Lead to join the team. This is an ideal role for someone highly motivated, ambitious and looking to make a real difference in the communities where we work. The Trainee Responsible Business Lead will have a great opportunity to unlock their potential and develop an understanding of Community Wealth Building and Fair Work. Receiving vocational training and support from day one, they will implement what they have learned immediately, in a real business environment and report to the Responsible Business Lead on each project. This role provides the right candidate with a fantastic opportunity to develop their skill set and become a responsible business practitioner. This is a highly rewarding role, primarily based at McLaughlin & Harvey's Bellshill's office. You will play an active role supporting the Responsible Business Team in the delivery of our construction and civil engineering project's social impact outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support the delivery of our Responsible Business Strategy.
  • Assist in monitoring, measuring, and reporting on project social impact outcomes.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and community groups, contributing to our commitment to being a good neighbour.
  • Support the Responsible Business Lead in organising and executing school and community engagement activities.
  • Work with site teams to prepare for and implement the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
  • Act as an ambassador in the community, raising awareness of McLaughlin & Harvey's Responsible Business initiatives.
  • Participate in modular training to enhance vocational skills through academic qualifications or similar.

    Strong communication skills and IT literacy are essential.
  • Candidates should possess administrative, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with a keen interest in empowering communities to work towards a fairer society.
  • Candidates with a Business related qualification would be highly desirable however not essential
  • Must be a team player eager to apply new skills and knowledge to drive collective societal change for a fairer, greener future.
  • A full and clean driving license, or in the process of acquiring one, or access to transportation to the regional Bellshill office is required.
