Trainee Welder

Connect Appointments are seeking a Trainee Welder to join our busy client in the East Lothian area, near Musselburgh.

What's on offer?

• Monday to Friday, 6am to 6pm
• 14.87 to 17.00 p/hr - paid weekly

Working as a Trainee Welder, you'll be responsible for mechanical maintenance, service and repair of heavy plant machinery such as crushers, conveyors, shredders vibrating screens. Other maintenance tasks may be required depending on the needs.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have good mechanical maintenance, fitting and fabrication experience, preferably in heavy industry environments such as recycling, sites, mining or aggregates sectors.

Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:

• Competent to carry out welding, cutting, burning and fabricating
• Have good MIG/MMA welding skills
• Able to work weekends when required

Please Note - A welding test will be carried out prior to starting the job - MIG and TIG.
