Trainee Welder - ARMO (Assembly, Repair, Maintenance and Overhaul)

As a Trainee ARMO Welder you will learning to carry out welding and hard facing repairs on machined parts to a high degree of quality. Once qualified you will be able to work under your own initiative to meet the production schedule of a busy service company. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills whilst working on some innovative products.

As a Trainee ARMO Welder, you will be responsible for:

• Working under direct supervision, performing basic welding applications.


• Understanding how to perform visual and in-process inspections in accordance with API and ISO quality specifications.


• Developing skill to read and interpret engineering drawings.


• Helping facilitate the team in diagnosing, troubleshooting and solving welding problems.


• Undertake training in various welding processes, passing periodic welding tests and gaining qualifications in compliance with Baker Hughes procedures.
  
  High School Diploma, Workshop or Welding Certificate.


• Knowledge/ experience of welding process and ideally the use of Oxy- fuel Torch equipment to perform Brazing and or Soldering.


• Experience working with Technical Drawings


• Have completed Welding tests and qualifications


• Experience working with various Steels and Alloys.


• Be process driven and work safely whilst adhering to procedures.
