Full Job Description
We are looking to welcome an Administrative and Finance officer into the UK and External Policy Team within Economic Growth. The role will support a busy team funding internal and external projects and working at Scottish and UK Government level to seek funding to support communities in Argyll and Bute., The role can undertaken largely remotely, with options to work from council offices across Argyll and Bute. Kilmory Castle, Lochgilphead is the main location for team meetings. The successful candidate will assist the UK and External Policy Team to administer grants and internal funding for projects that support communities across the region as well as drive economic growth. Processing grant and funding claims is a large part of the role, but there will also be project work to create and improve processes and evaluate and celebrate projects. They will work closely with the External Funding Officer and Senior Development officer on a day-to-day basis but will also be part of a much wider team in development and economic growth.
The successful candidate will have experience of admin and finance processes, and will have a good eye for detail. They will also be interested in continuously improving processes, and confidence in creating new ones. The post-holder will support the team in a range of areas including compliance, financial control, due diligence, and evaluation of projects. They will also provide general administrative support such as minute-taking and managing external e-mail inboxes.
