Full Job Description

During your industrial placement, you will work on the Type 26 Frigate Project as part of the Signatures team. You will undertake measurement trials on-board the ship during Harbour Trials to provide assurance to the Ministry of Defence that the ship will be the quietest anti-submarine warship in the world. In addition to the measurements, your work will extend to understanding how individual equipment impacts the overall Signature performance of Type 26 through mathematical prediction modeling.,

  • Interact with Stakeholders (e.g. Test & Commissioning team, Royal Navy, Suppliers, etc.) to facilitate testing.
  • Undertake Vibration and Airborne Noise measurements on-board ships.
  • Conduct trials analysis, generate test forms, and produce reports.
  • Undertake whole ship impact assessments using the prediction model.
