About the role In this key role as Underwriting Operations Lead, you'll drive initiatives aimed at elevating underwriting practices, with a focus on enhancing knowledge and process improvement. This role focuses on improving internal workflows that promote underwriting excellence and operational efficiencies. Your extensive subject matter expertise will be instrumental in defining and developing underwriting processes that align with the ever-evolving insurance landscape. You will work closely with the operational underwriting teams to deliver activity that will continually improve the knowledge and capability of the business. You'll actively cultivate and sustain influential relationships across Underwriting, Pricing, Claims, Product, Operations, Regional Service Centres and NFU Mutual Agents. Your collaborative efforts will guarantee the effective application of underwriting expertise throughout the organisation, fostering optimal performance and overall success.

You'll be a proactive and self-motivated professional with experience of underwriting processes and systems. Passionate in driving change and improvements, with good experience and exposure to a variety of change initiatives and projects. Your broad General Insurance underwriting expertise will extend beyond conventional processes. As well as a solid knowledge of underwriting processes and systems, you'll possess a profound understanding of change deployment strategies. You'll be able to demonstrate:
