We are looking to recruit a motivated, ambitious individual to become Lead Officer for Unpaid Work in Renfrewshire Justice Service to make a real positive difference for people accessing services and living in our communities. This is a newly created post tasked with developing the work of the Unpaid Work Unit.

 

You will work collaboratively across the Justice Service and deliver quality outcomes for the service users as well as recipients of the work we undertake. As the Lead Officer, you will liaise with various stakeholders, including Courts, local authorities, and third sector organisations. 

 

The Lead Officer will be part of the Justice Service Management Team and will deliver services in line with the vision, values, legislation, policies, and procedures for Justice Services, both locally and nationally.

 

This post will be based at the Unpaid Work Unit in Paisley.

 

Key Responsibilities include developing and managing Community Payback Unpaid Work across Renfrewshire, representing the service at local and national meetings and Providing guidance and supervision to Unpaid Work Coordinators and Unpaid Work Supervisors.

 

Aswell as Monitoring staff performance and training needs, managing budgets and ensuring health & safety compliance and Consulting with communities.

 

It is essential you are educated to SCQF Level 8 (HND/SVQ4) or equivalent in a relevant field (or willing to work towards), have experience of staff management and supervision, working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, national standards and guidelines aswell as knowledge of health and safety practices.

 

Effective IT, decision making, written and communication skills and the ability to work to meet guidelines, professional standards and organisational priorities are also essential.

 

Experience of working in Justice Social Work and Community Payback, with professional experience in a management role is desirable.
