Urgent Female carer required for male wheelchair user, £14 / hr Edinburgh / Trinity area.

The position which you are about to review assumes some basic knowledge of Personal Assistant work. An advantage would be to be able to drive my automatic wheelchair accessible vehicle. Training will be given.

I am a man with Cerebral Palsy and have deteriorated in my ability to care for myself since before my retirement in 1994, this deterioration has continued to such an extent that I can no longer physically do anything for myself and therefore require assistance with almost every aspect of my life whilst still remaining in control of my life with the assistance and co-operation from my wife, Edna.

I am looking for someone to assist me in the evenings of Tuesday and Wednesday from 1730-2000. More evening work and holiday cover may become available in the future for the successful applicant.

I require someone to assist me with my meal and bedtime routine. You would work with one other carer from an agency from 1900-2000 to assist me in getting into bed which would involve hoisting. Training would be given where necessary.
