Full Job Description

As our Commercial & Strategy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving strategic initiatives across Local Partnerships. Working closely with the Corporate Director of Commercial and Strategy, you will lead and contribute to a range of high-impact commercial and strategic projects across the organisation. This includes:

  • Researching and validating new opportunities
  • Building business cases for strategic initiatives
  • Supporting the development of cross-organisational projects
  • Contributing to the long-term strategy and organisational growth of Local Partnerships
  • You will collaborate with internal teams, Leadership and Board members, and engage with external partners, government bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of valuable services that support public sector challenges.,
  • Research and maintain insights into client needs and public sector trends
  • Identify and validate strategic and tactical opportunities for business growth
  • Develop business cases and secure cross-organisational support for commercial initiatives
  • Analyse and optimise Local Partnerships' commercial performance and service delivery
  • Support Key Account and Strategic Relationship Management efforts
  • Contribute to the overall organisational strategy, growth, and development

    We are seeking a candidate who is adaptable, proactive, and thrives in dynamic environments. You should have experience in the public or private sector, particularly in initiating and driving new commercial services or strategic public initiatives. Key attributes include:
  • Ability to gather and interpret complex data and information
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A commercial mindset with negotiation skills
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and forming new collaborations
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving circumstances
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, Educated to degree level or equivalent experience, with relevant professional qualifications
  • Proven track record of delivering new commercial or public sector initiatives
  • Experience working across both the public and private sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to challenges and drive outcomes
